Assalamualaikum and Hi, Everyone!
Well its Sunday again!
Normally I'll go to the office to settle up my work but since none of my colleague came to office today - so I'm stuck in the home.
Yes, finally I get some space for me, myself and my HOME. I clean up the house a bit and listen to the IKIM radio. 'Listening' here means, with full attention. Cos normally, the radio is switch on whenever I'm home but its not an active listening - listen while doing other things at the same time and no notes being jotted down.
Manage to listen to a great segment today - replay slot on last Thursday, "Inspiration Slot" with the National MaulidurRasul 2017 Honorable Figures, Dato' Aidit Bin Ghazali.
To make it short (since I had some other works to do), what's really inspiring me about him is - he live a life in non-muslim world and yet manage to keep his strong faith in Islam @ strongly uphold Islamic values, which in turn makes me feel - Allah, I'm nothing, I done nothing during all these 26 years living in Allah's world.
He was being sent to Singapore as early as 6 years old, to study in an (non-muslim) elite school. Seriously, I only got 1 word - its ain't easy. Why? You will need to face with those whose not believing in your faith and will keep on belittle your ability (yes, people have a high prejudice on muslim, especially the malays - why? its easy, and its actually us to be blame, just see how many Malays showing good values to non-muslim, try to see how much of us not praying or fasting - how to give a good impression bout islam if we keep on acting like this?)
I know how it feels like to be 'belittle'. But after all, this kind of thing became a source of motivation to push us up - depend on how you counter it, to accept that you're nothing or to prove them, "Yes, you're something!".
Last but not least, all this while I thought its almost impossible for a muslim to be outstanding when living/working with the non-muslim. But Dato' Aidit prove it wrong. He went to Singapore, went to Haravrd, Scotland - living with non-muslim, yet bring up outstanding attitude till the non-muslim also respect him.
